Data Visualization and Computer Graphics: big data computation, analysis and visualization; out-of-core scientific visualization and graphics; robot motion planning; information-theoretic data analysis and visualization; multi-resolution techniques; surface and volume simplification and view-dependent rendering; graphics compression; isosurface extraction; volume rendering; computational topology and topology-driven visualization.

Computer Algorithms: out-of-core algorithms; computational geometry; algorithmic motion planning; graph algorithms; approximation algorithms; data structures; computational topology.
